Peter Wuttke enjoys painting landscapes, architecture, and animals with watercolors and acrylics. He also creates drawings using pen and pencil, and does custom work.
Peter’s inspiration comes from the beauty in nature that can sometimes be overlooked in daily life.
Starting life over at age 60 presented many challenges for Peter. His journey to find peace and happiness led to simpler life, a greater appreciation for nature, and a desire to create art that sparks conversations and encourages the imagination.
“Take time to do what makes your soul happy. May you find the same peace and happiness which I now enjoy through the art I produce.”
Peter studied color theory, art appreciation, and figure drawing at Montgomery Community College. He participates in several art leagues and associations such as the Art League of Germantown, and the Montgomery Arts Association.
Peter has exhibited his work at art venues and galleries, and his work was featured in the Rockville Mayor’s Office for three months in 2015. He has sold works at festivals and crafts shows in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties, and was a featured artist at the Ijams Hummingbird Festival in Knoxville, TN.
