Peter Plant is a lifelong artist. His art focuses on landscapes using acrylic paint, colored pencil and mixed media art. He also creates portraits and custom pieces. Peter lives in Frederick County and gets his inspiration from the Central Maryland area.
"The landscape is so beautiful and historic. I can't help but be inspired to create art.
I love the blue mountains in the distance, and the Potomac River through the trees along the C&O Canal."
Peter has shown his art at eight one-person shows in Maryland. He also showcased his art at several multi-person exhibits in Maryland and Virginia.
Peter's career in graphic arts spans 19 years. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Dayton. For 14 years, he owned and operated his own business: The Graphics Plant.
Currently, Peter teaches elementary art in Montgomery County Public Schools. He is an active member and supporter of several art associations such as: the Frederick County Art Association and the Delaplaine Visual Arts and Education Center.
