Artisan, Designer & Quilter
Montgomery County, MD
Angela Fallas makes jewelry, quilts, 3D greeting cards, and paintings. She combines different materials to create pieces with various textures, colors and dimensions.
“I gather materials and allow my creativity to take over. Playing with colors, shapes and dimensions.
I get inspiration from nature and El Salvadorian culture and folk art."
Angela used art to help her through a difficult time. She was diagnosed with cancer 10 years ago and used art as therapy to maintain her spirit through treatments, surgeries and recovery.
“It was a time that I needed to take care of myself. To heal. To create. To find peace.”
Angela’s love of crafting began with crocheting as a young girl. She is a self-taught artisan, but has increased her technical skills by taking classes and researching various art forms and techniques.
